My great great grandparents both played at the club at the turn of the century. Whare Gray and Mere Winterburn both from the Tainui marae were both avid golfers as are alot of the relatives today.
This year has been the Otaki Golf Centenary. Due to my links above with the club I joined the committee that has been orgainising the centenary events throughout this year. It has been excellent to know that the club has been around for so long. It was the 11th Golf club established in New Zealand.
The photo was taken at our Easter Weekend celebrations where many past members came to share in the celebrations.
